 This gorilla family will be Gary's entry at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, MI next September. Prizes are awarded by public votes. Top prize is $250,000! Over 1500 artists are entered. See more about this one of a kind competition at ArtPrize.org. Silverwareback (alone) received 3rd place in the Miscellaneous Category at Gateway Art Council's Spring Fling 2011. Gary has three pieces entered in It's a Guy Thing! fine art exhibit at Studio 14 Benkin Gallery of Fine Art in Tipp City, Ohio. You can see their website on our links page. He was awarded Second Place for "Sticking the Landing"(the owl landing on a branch). Also in the show are "Keep Your Hands Off Me" and a "Cocker Spaniel Puppy". I wanted to call it "Cocker Spooniel" but our sixteen-year-old couldn't handle it. The show runs from June 3 to July 25.  | Gary and Tonnie Hovey
